Megger Building 4

Introduction:

Wilson & Partners have been commissioned to provide MEP and Building Fabric design services for the upgrade of an existing engineering facility and external building envelope.

 

Brief:

Building 4 at the Megger site in Dover was dated and showing signs of corrosion due to the seafront facing location. The refurbishment to Building 4 is part of a site wide upgrade and modernisation plan. Wilson & Partners were appointed to provide space planning services for a multiple department open plan floor, including - technical testing areas, meeting rooms, and offices amongst others. The external envelope was improved with a new cladding system around the entire building. The MEP portion of the design responsibilities covered Ventilation, domestic, heating infrastructure as well as lighting design, rewire and integration into the site's electrical infrastructure.

 

Project delivery:

The project is in its final stages of completion, full hand over is expected Q1 2023

Wilson & Partners have been retained to produce the Building fabric and Mechanical Stage 6 construction record information.
